Finding God’s Stillness In The Storm 🏔️

With so much happening over the past week with the wildfires and the smoke that everyone is experiencing, I thought it fitting to talk about God's stillness. Sometimes we Get so caught up in the craziness of life and stuck in the things that go wrong that we forget to sit, listen, and be still before God to truly hear His voice and what He is saying to us. It makes me think of the story of Elijah in the mountain. Elijah was afraid and running from his problems and in the midst of a fire, wind, and even an earthquake God was trying to get his attention. But in the midst of the calm, Elijah heard a still small voice speaking to him. Sometimes all it takes is for us to stop and listen for the voice of God to hear Him speaking to us and saying "I hold everything in the palm of my hand". We tend to say that we can't hear God speaking yet we often never take the time to listen. God is the creator of the universe He created everything we see. We need to remember to take time to hear what God is speaking over us instead of listening to the storm that we see in front of us He is so much more powerful than anything we could ever imagine. We need to remember to take time to hear God's voice and remember His voice speaks louder than any form of fear we hear. 🙏🏼
“And he said, “Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.”
